Precision CNC Lathe Machinist, Hard‑Turn GD&T Specialist

• Own the full cycle: program, set up, and operate CNC lathes while maintaining quality, safety, accurate records, and the upkeep of equipment/supplies.
• Author programs from drawings using Mazatrol or G/M code with expert command of GD&T (Mazatrol T, T32, Smart, Smooth X preferred; CELOS familiarity welcomed).
• Validate dimensions with precision tools and make fine adjustments to hold 0.0001″ tolerances.
• Evaluate surfaces and edges; categorize nonconforming parts by defect type for proper disposition.
• Fixture with confidence: mount, align, and secure tools, attachments, fixtures, and work pieces using precision methods.
• Follow machining sequences—stop machines to remove parts or reconfigure tooling, setup, or part placement as required.
• Leverage connected manufacturing by transferring programs from servers to CNC controls via the network.
• Set up and efficiently run moderate through highly complex components on CNC lathes.
• Meet stringent engineering specifications and interpret complex engineering drawings.
• Champion continuous improvement across quality, safety, and throughput.
• Create clear setup sheets, tool lists, and supporting documentation to enable fast, repeatable production.
• Collaborate closely with Manufacturing Management and Machinists for smooth shift handoffs and process updates.
• Execute routine PM (grease, oil, coolant, filters) to maximize machine reliability.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 5+ years setting up and operating CNC lathes across diverse materials.
• Strong mathematics foundation; able to read and interpret machine programs.
• Effective communicator who can follow verbal/written instructions with minimal supervision.
• Works in concert with EHS to ensure safe operations for self and team.

• Ability to lift 50 lbs occasionally; prolonged standing; stair climbing.
• PPE required: eye, hearing, hand, foot protection; additional PPE as specified.
• Regular exposure to oils, coolants, and typical machine shop chemicals.
• Must be able to speak English and thrive in a team environment.
