This position makes a difference to our residents' overall well-being and happiness and brings peace of mind to families that their loved ones are cared for and treated well. You will split your time between working as an STNA/CMA and making sure the schedules for nurses and caregivers are covered.
This position can either be a day shift or an evening shift position but will require some flexibility as to which shifts you will be working if you need to cover shifts. This will also require being able to take calls and find coverage in case of emergencies. Tracking and reporting off-site time for yourself to ensure proper pay will be part of your responsibility.
Must be able to cover the shift if you cannot find other coverage. The key to avoiding this is planning, providing the RCD data to manage attendance. attention to detail, and fair and consistent usage of the PRN pool.

Shift Details:We are currently searching for a Scheduler/Medication Assistant to join the following shift:
Day or evening with on-call for emergent scheduling needs. Please note, this may change throughout employment as needed with notice.
- Responsible for scheduling coverage for all clinical shifts with the general guidance of the Resident Care Director.
- Providing residents with medication administration, treatment assistance and services according to the health care provider's orders.
- Adhering to the narcotic and PRN policies of Aviva Senior Living.
- Reporting any changes in residents' physical condition and/or behaviors.
- Maintaining resident records regarding medication distribution, leisure activities, incidents, and observations.
- Following the schedule of the resident's needs set out by the supervisor.
- Providing emotional and social support to residents.
- Adhering to all policies and procedures of the community.
- Fulfilling other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
- Regular and predictable attendance daily.
- High school diploma or equivalent (GED) with ability to use computers and applicable software.
- Certified in Ohio as a STNA and a Certified Medication Assistant.
- One to two years of related work experience in assisted living preferred
- Skilled in caring for residents with memory impairments and secondary diagnosis.
- Ability to work with the elderly in a courteous and friendly manner, demonstrating patience and compassion.
- Ability to safely handle food in accordance with facility policies and procedures, as well as all state and federal regulations
- Strong knowledge and understanding of state regulations
