Pharmacy Technician at CVS Health

Job Purpose

In our retail locations, Pharmacy Technicians support pharmacy teams to consistently deliver high quality service and ensure prescriptions are filled safely and accurately.

Responsibilities
  • Follow all company SOPs while assisting pharmacists.
  • Participate in pharmacy workflow (production, pick‑up, drive‑thru, drop‑off) to ensure accurate prescription fulfillment.
  • Provide empathetic patient service, including immunizations and other health care services when authorized.
  • Perform inventory tasks such as returning items, cycle counts, and bin inventory.
  • Maintain a safe, inclusive culture and comply with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Support additional patient health care services (e.g., immunizations, point‑of‑care testing) when trained.
Required Qualifications
  • Comply with state board of pharmacy requirements including age, education, licensure and/or certification.
  • Minimum age of 16 if not specified by state board.
  • High school diploma or equivalent, or currently enrolled in high school/equivalency program if not specified.
  • State‑level licensure and national certification vary;  to review for your state.
Desired Qualifications
  • 1–3 years previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician.
  • Experience in a pharmacy, retail, medical, or customer service setting.
  • Ability to work across the market and in the home store to meet business needs.
Estimated Weekly Hours & Pay

20 hours per week, Part‑time. Pay: $17.00 per hour (base hourly rate).
