VP​/Director of Finance

Description

We are looking for a talented and experienced Controller to join our team on a contract to full-time basis in Canton, Ohio. This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping the financial strategy of a legacy organization entering a new phase of growth. The ideal candidate will be both strategic and hands-on, capable of managing day-to-day financial operations while contributing to long-term planning and decision-making.

Responsibilities:

- Collaborate closely with leadership to provide financial insights and recommendations for strategic decisions.

- Present financial performance, trends, and forecasts to stakeholders in a clear and actionable manner.

- Manage cash flow processes, including forecasting and reporting, to ensure financial stability.

- Identify and lead initiatives to reduce costs and improve operational efficiency.

- Oversee the preparation and approval of invoices, credit requests, and other financial transactions.

- Serve as the primary contact for external audits, tax filings, and financial reporting requirements.

- Provide support for accounting operations and offer backup assistance for payroll processing as needed.

- Partner with FP& A teams to develop accurate budgets and forecasts.

- Ensure alignment between financial goals and organizational activities.

- Assist with general administrative tasks and cross-functional office needs.

Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; advanced degrees or certifications are a plus.

- Proven experience in financial leadership, accounting operations, or finance management.

- Strong ability to analyze complex financial data and deliver actionable insights.

- Excellent communication and presentation skills to engage with stakeholders effectively.

- Skilled in balancing high-level strategy with detailed execution of financial tasks.

- Familiarity with budgeting processes, month-end close procedures, and financial reporting.

- Expertise in cash flow forecasting and managing annual budgets.

- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with cross-functional teams.
