Technical Sales Engineer – Regional Sales Manager (Steel Industry, Southeast U.S.)
Location:
Remote (preferably based in the Southeast U.S.)
Travel:
Regional travel across the Southeast U.S. with occasional additional US travel including our Canton, OH headquarters

What You’ll Do- Build and maintain strong relationships with melt shop, maintenance, and engineering teams at major steel mills.
- Identify and qualify opportunities related to EAF power systems, electromagnetic stirrer (EMS) equipment, copper bus components, and high-current cable assemblies.
- Conduct technical presentations, plant visits, and reliability audits to demonstrate value-added solutions.
- Collaborate closely with internal engineering, service, and manufacturing teams to deliver tailored technical recommendations.
- Support customer projects from concept through installation, ensuring seamless execution and ongoing satisfaction.
- Manage sales pipeline activity and contribute to annual territory growth targets through consultative, solution-based selling.
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, Electrical, or Metallurgical Engineering, or equivalent industry experience a plus.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in steel mill operations, maintenance, reliability or project engineering (EAF, ladle metallurgy, or casting preferred).
- Strong understanding of industrial foundry operations, copper bus installations, and melt-shop operations. reliability-centered maintenance.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills for technical discussions with engineers and operations leaders.
- A results-oriented, customer-focused mindset with the ability to translate plant challenges into actionable solutions.
- Prior experience in technical sales or vendor management within the steel industry is a plus.
Base Salary: $90,000 – $110,000 (commensurate with experience)
Commission:
Additional performance-based commission with significant earning potential
