Position Overview
As a Landscape Designer, you'll help turn clients' outdoor dreams into reality. Working closely with the Designer/Sales team, you'll develop creative design concepts, prepare precise cost estimates, and help manage projects to completion. This role blends artistry, technical skill, and organization - perfect for someone who loves both design and the details that make it all come together.
Key Responsibilities
Design
- Develop innovative residential and commercial landscape designs using AutoCAD and Sketch Up.
- Collaborate with the Designer/Sales team to produce creative and functional outdoor solutions.
- Prepare detailed project files, including property plots, local code requirements, and other design factors.
- Research plants, materials, and sustainable design elements to enhance project quality and aesthetics.
- Assist the design team in preparing accurate cost estimates using Aspire Software.
- Analyze labor, material, and equipment costs to ensure projects are properly budgeted.
- Prepare professional proposals and client presentations that clearly communicate project scope and value.
- Maintain organized, up-to-date project files and records.
- Generate reports, documentation, and updates to support smooth project tracking and client communication.
- Provide general administrative assistance to enhance efficiency and team coordination.
Education:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture, Horticulture, Construction Management, or a related field.
- 2-3 years of experience in landscape design, estimating, or project coordination.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Sketch Up, and Microsoft Excel.
- Familiarity with Aspire Software or similar estimating platforms a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Collaborative, solutions-oriented mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Solid understanding of plant materials, construction methods, and landscape best practices.
