    Canton Chair Rental / Party Savvy, Stark County’s leader in the event rental industry, seeks a detail-oriented and customer-focused Event Consultant to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in creating exceptional event experiences by understanding client needs and recommending the right rental products. From handling inquiries to coordinating event details, you will be responsible for delivering outstanding customer service, closing sales, and ensuring seamless event planning in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Respond to incoming phone calls, texts, web requests, and emails promptly and professionally.
  • Make outbound calls to update and maintain business contact information.
  • Greet clients in our Design Center, providing guidance on rental products.
  • Consult with clients to understand their event needs, making tailored recommendations and identifying upselling opportunities.
  • Create event layouts and ensure all details are accurately recorded.
  • Follow up on quotes and leads in line with department goals.
  • Develop and nurture relationships with new and existing clients to drive retention and repeat business.
  • Proactively address and resolve customer concerns.
  • Attend networking events, trade shows, and conferences to foster relationships with industry professionals.
  • Travel to offsite locations as needed for client consultations.
  • Engage with clients planning weddings, corporate events, fundraisers, and parties, ensuring all rental needs are met.
  • Accurately enter and manage order details in rental software.
  • Coordinate event logistics, including delivery, pickup, setup, and teardown, while occasionally assisting with these tasks as needed.
  • Maintain clear, professional communication with customers and team members.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
  • Schedule:

    The typical schedule is Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM. However, flexibility is expected based on client needs, and team members should be prepared to stay beyond scheduled hours as necessary to ensure successful event planning and execution.

    Occasional after-hours and weekend shifts for client appointments, set-ups, or during high-demand seasons.

    Potential for overtime during our peak season.

  • Qualifications and Requirements:

  • 1+ years of experience in customer service, sales, or a related field.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Valid Ohio driver’s license (must meet company insurance requirements).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Strong typing skills and ability to maintain accurate records.
  • Ability to interpret instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
  • Basic math skills, including fractions, percentages, and ratios.
  • Ability to lift 40 lbs. and assist with event setups and teardowns as needed.
  • Comfortable with upselling and closing sales.
  • Strong multitasking, prioritization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Knowledge of the event or catering industry (preferred).
  • Successful completion of a background check and drug screening.
