Data Center Manager

Job Summary

As a Data Center Manager at Amazon you will manage the world’s largest Cloud Computing Infrastructure while driving operational excellence and innovation across all aspects of data center operations.

• Lead and develop high‑performing engineering teams, ensuring technical excellence and leadership across all data center initiatives.
• Maintain existing data centers, continuously improving processes, metrics, and service methodologies.
• Assist in building and bringing online new data centers, coordinating cross‑functional teams with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Drive performance levels to meet and exceed local health & safety standards and operational capacity objectives.
• Develop and maintain metrics to track all data center performance and utilize insights for continuous improvement.
• Manage relationships with external vendors, contractors, and internal management groups, ensuring alignment with AWS standards.

• 1+ year experience in data center engineering or operations.
• 4+ years managing technical teams in a data center or similar environment.

• 2+ years of data center experience.
• Behavioral interviewing and hiring experience.
• Experience in technical writing relevant to data center operations.
• Experience contributing to automation opportunities within an operations environment.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
