AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We keep the cloud running by supporting data centers and all physical assets, such as servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment. The role joins a diverse team of software, hardware, network, supply‑chain, security, and operations specialists. Collaborate with cross‑functional AWS teams to set safety and security standards and provide limitless, cost‑effective capacity.

• Manage scope of Building Management System (BMS) and Electrical Power Monitoring System (EPMS) for construction of AWS data centers.
• Ensure data center controls are deployed according to scope of work and specifications.
• Review mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) drawings and provide feedback.
• Develop controls bill of material (BOM).
• Manage multiple stakeholder deliverables, requirements, and navigate difficult situations.
• Work under tight project timelines.
• Financially manage construction and service contracts.
• Act in a project sponsor/lead capacity.
• Provide vendor management.
• Develop scope of work for site improvement projects.
• Provide technical assistance and support to internal customers during the life cycle of the data center.
• Perform controls root‑cause analysis for service of controls in AWS data centers.
• Schedule and supervise quarterly maintenance for BMS and EPMS.
• Review controls sequence of operation and provide feedback to design.
• Participate in a global on‑call schedule.
• Grow technical ability by learning multiple automation platforms.
• Develop building automation controls drawings and wiring diagrams.
• Size controls valves and damper actuators and select controls devices.
• Develop and modify control logic programming.
• Develop and modify graphical user interface.
• Travel up to 25 %.

• 4+ years of general contractor and vendor management work (RFPs, bidding, change orders, quality control, RFI/submittal tracking) associated with construction and project execution.
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent engineering science plus 5+ years of relevant controls experience; or 10+ years of relevant controls experience in lieu of a degree.
• 5+ years of experience with industrial controls in critical environments (data center, pharmaceutical, manufacturing, oil & gas, petrochemical, laboratory, power, water, etc.).

• MS in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Controls/Automation).
• Experience designing, configuring, programming, installing, troubleshooting, or servicing HVAC controls or electrical SCADA application‑specific controllers, software, and networks.
• Demonstrated ability to program, configure, and optimize chiller plant sequences of operation, including lead‑lag control, staging logic, and integration with cooling towers, pumps, and heat exchangers in mission‑critical facilities.
• Experience using common industrial communication protocols (MQTT, BACnet, MODBUS).
• Demonstrated understanding of engineering documentation, electrical and mechanical diagrams, and standard operating procedures.
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholder deliverables, requirements, and navigate difficult situations.
• Experience designing data centers or critical MEP infrastructure.
• Registered as a Professional Engineer (PE) or certified Project Management Professional (PMP).
• Prior AWS/Amazon experience.
• 4+ years of military service.

The base salary range for this position is $ – $ USD annually. Your Amazon package will include sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
