We need your expertise to be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of machines, tools, equipment, and facilities. This provides an entry level position to grow into a technician position.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform basic preventative maintenance tasks and minor repairs on all mechanical assets impacting the operation of the facility, physical structure, and exterior grounds under the instruction and close supervision of leadership and maintenance technicians.
- Assisting in locating the source of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation, listening for problems, learning the use of precision measuring and testing instruments.
- Responsible for the care and upkeep of the building, material handling equipment, and grounds.
- Perform basic inspections of refrigeration system under the instruction and close supervision of leadership.
- Resolve maintenance problems by conferring with maintenance technicians and/or management.
- Protect employees and visitors by maintaining a safe and clean working environment.
- Ability to interact and communicate with all levels of the facility.
- Utilize onsite motorized lift and rental equipment as needed while operating, inspecting, calibrating, and maintaining equipment
- Support assigned duties of warehouse management to assist in the business of the facility.
- Ability to work a flexible work schedule and shift, including weekends if needed.
- High school diploma
- 1-3 years' experience in warehouse/distribution maintenance.
- Knowledge and experience in Safety and OSHA desired.
- Proficient in the use of hand and power tools.
- Understand how to use measuring equipment such as rulers, tape measures, and thermometers.
- Basic computer skills
- Possess problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to lift, push, pull up to 50 pounds frequently
- Ability to work in temperatures as low as
-20 Fahrenheit/-25 Celsius in cold storage sites or up to 100 Fahrenheit/37 Celsius in dry storage sites while wearing company provided personal protective equipment and freezer gear
