Job Description
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Long Term Care/Skilled Nursing Facility position with night shift coverage and every other weekend and holiday requirements.
Responsibilities

• Position is in a Long Term Care/Skilled Nursing Facility setting

• Patient population includes long-term care residents with memory care, dementia, and ortho cases

• Facility has 42 beds

• Primary shift is night (6:00pm-6:30am) with some potential for evening shifts (2:00pm-10:30pm)

• Shifts may be 8 or 12 hours in length

• Scheduled every other weekend and every other holiday

• Single RN on night shifts; two nurses scheduled on days and evenings

• Uses PCC EMR system

• No on-call requirements

• Primary responsibilities include providing care for long term care residents, including those with memory care, dementia, and orthopedic conditions

• Initial orientation includes building orientation and training on lifts, typically 2-4 hours

• Evening and night shifts are the primary scheduling needs

• Every other weekend and holiday coverage is required

• No behavioral risk cases currently on unit
Requirements

• Active SD or compact RN license required

• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required

• Experience in LTC or SNF setting preferred

• Comfortable with EMR documentation using PCC
