Accountant – CPA

Overview

Company Overview: A well-established accounting firm is seeking a seasoned Certified Public Accountant (CPA) to support their busy tax season. This role focuses on preparing and reviewing complex individual and business tax returns, with an emphasis on S corporations and partnerships.

• Prepare and review complex tax returns for individuals, S-Corporations, partnerships, estates and trusts, small businesses, and nonprofits.
• Analyze book income and translate it into taxable income, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
• Handle tax matters involving stock options, depreciation, and real estate.
• Work closely with other tax staff to provide support and technical guidance when needed.
• Maintain confidentiality and accuracy across all client documentation and communications.

• Strong proficiency in preparing and reviewing S-Corporation and Partnership tax returns.
• Experience with individual tax returns, including complex returns and multiple income types.
• CPA designation strongly preferred (open to non-CPA candidates with equivalent experience).
• Ability to commit full-time from February through April 30.
• Minimum of 4+ tax seasons handling complex returns, or equivalent professional background.
• Experience using Pro Series tax software.
• Working knowledge of Tax Dome workflow software.
• Strong understanding of technical tax concepts and how business activities translate into taxable income.

Pay Rate: $45 – $60/hr
