Senior Construction Project Manager

Leander Construction, a Central Illinois general contractor, is seeking an experienced Senior Construction

Project Manager to lead complex commercial projects and mentor project teams. This role is designed for

a proven construction leader who excels in planning, communication, and driving successful outcomes from

preconstruction through closeout.

• Minimum 10 years of commercial construction project management experience
• Bachelor’s degree in construction management or equivalent experience preferred
• Demonstrated leadership and team development experience

• Lead multiple commercial construction projects from planning through completion
• Develop, manage, and evaluate project budgets and financial performance
• Oversee subcontractor and supplier coordination, including negotiations and change management
• Review and manage submittals and shop drawings
• Serve as primary liaison between architects/engineers, owners, and field teams
• Interpret and administer contract terms and risk management processes
• Drive scheduling, quality control, and project execution standards
• Mentor and support junior project managers and project staff
• Foster accountability, collaboration, and strong communication across teams
• Provide strategic direction and problem-solving on complex project challenges
• Promote best practices in safety, documentation, and project controls
• Support continuous improvement in project delivery processes
• Exceptional written and verbal communication
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and construction estimating/scheduling software
• Strong organizational, negotiation, and decision-making abilities
• Ability to lead multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
