Associate Veterinarian (Equine)

Georgia Equine Veterinary Hospital and Services is seeking a full‑time veterinarian to join our team in the Greater Atlanta area.

About the

Our full‑service surgical hospital also offers complete equine ambulatory veterinary services and emergency care. The staff brings a broad depth of experience in diagnosing and treating illness, injury, and lameness, and we understand the special needs of aging equine and those with chronic conditions.

What You’ll Do
  • Primary care medicine, sports medicine, reproduction, surgery, and emergency care
  • Conduct farm visits and haul‑in appointments; perform diagnostics using digital radiography, ultrasonography, video endoscopy, and gastroscopy
  • Utilize cutting‑edge treatment modalities, including shockwave therapy, power dentistry, PRP, IRAP, and Pro‑Stride
  • Access a full surgery suite and 5 hospital stalls equipped with cameras
  • Collaborate with a skilled team of veterinarians and technicians; participate in regular client education events

The hospital is located in the picturesque town of Canton, GA, within Georgia’s horse country and the greater Atlanta area. The region offers rural charm and access to nearby urban amenities, providing the perfect environment for equine practice and outdoor activities such as hiking, biking, and lake recreation.

Requirements
  • DVM or equivalent degree required
  • Eligibility for or current Georgia state veterinary license
  • Strong interest in equine lameness and sports medicine is a must; surgical interest is a bonus
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with clients and staff
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Willingness to participate in a shared on‑call rotation

  • Compensation: $80k‑$100k base + 21‑25% production; salary depends on part‑time or full‑time hours
