Substitute School Nurse

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Registered Nurse (R.N.) or Licensed Practical Nurse (L.P.N.)

GOAL: School nursing is a specialized practice of professional nursing that advances the wellbeing, academic success, and life-long achievement of students. To that end, school nurses facilitate positive student responses to normal development; promote health, safety, and wellness; intervene with actual and potential health problems; provide case management services; and actively collaborate with others to build student and family capacity for adaptation, self-management, self-advocacy, and learning.

This position is a temporary assignment; payment is based on hours worked, and as work is available, with no eligibility or seniority for employee benefits. All employees are eligible to participate in the CCSD 403(b) or 457(b) retirement savings account.
