MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSCandidates must hold a master’s degree or higher in education or a closely related field and have a minimum of five years of successful experience in educational leadership, with school- or district-level leadership experience preferred. Experience overseeing or supporting ESOL, Advanced Learning, and/or academic intervention programs is preferred.
GOALProvide strategic leadership to develop, implement, and sustain a cohesive district-wide system for ESOL, Advanced Learning, and Academic Intervention that aligns with district priorities, ensures compliance, and uses data-driven decision-making to improve instructional quality and student outcomes for all learners.
REPRESENTATIVE DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES- Develop and implement a cohesive vision for ESOL, Advanced Learning, and Intervention that aligns with district achievement goals and key priorities.
- Lead the creation, adoption, and evaluation of district-wide instructional models, curriculum resources, and support structures.
- Use data to identify student needs, measure program impact, and drive continuous improvement.
- Oversee ESOL programming, including compliance, instructional practices, assessment, and staffing support.
- Direct Advanced Learning initiatives, ensuring clear and consistent identification processes, high-quality enrichment, and advanced coursework pathways.
- Manage academic intervention systems, including MTSS frameworks, with clear alignment of tiered interventions.
- Provide coaching, professional learning, and guidance to school administrators, specialists, and instructional staff related to Advanced Learning, ESOL, and Intervention.
- Partner with academics, special education, assessment, and School Leadership and Operations to create and communicate coherent supports for all students.
- Facilitate stakeholder engagement, including families, community partners, and advisory groups to improve support frameworks.
- Ensure adherence to federal, state, and district regulations related to ESOL, gifted education, and intervention programs.
- Contribute to data reporting, program audits, and documentation of student progress for ESOL, intervention, and advanced learning.
- Develop and monitor program budgets, grants, and resource allocations.
- Support and supervise ESOL Supervisor and specialists, Advanced Learning Supervisor, and intervention/MTSS teams.
- Maintain current knowledge of best practices and legal requirements in educational assessment and accountability.
- Coordinate across divisions to develop academic planning tolls for students and families.
- Manage and monitor relevant policies associated with grade reporting, promotion, retention and placement.
- Coordinate with Technology and School Leadership & Operations on communicating student academic performance to teachers, students and families.
- Participate in ongoing professional development to remain informed on research and emerging trends in the field.
- Supervise and evaluate assigned employees, provide professional development and training to ensure employee performance meets acceptable standards.
- Possess and maintain valid and appropriate license, certificate and/or credential as may be required for this position.
- Follow work scheduling and attendance requirements in a regular, predictable and punctual manner.
- Ensure adherence to reasonable safety procedures.
- Follow federal and state laws, as well as School Board policies.
