We have a brand-new opportunity to join our D&E Outdoors team in Ashburton in the newly established role of Sales Manager. With an exciting new partnership with Offroad Grit RV, you’ll play an integral role in ensuring we’re front of mind for new and existing clients in the lifestyle and recreation markets. Overseeing our existing sales function and supported closely by our Sales Consultant and Branch Manager, you’ll provide leadership and drive the strategic direction of our sales across caravans, marine, side‑by‑side and ATVs.

About

the Role

This role will see you engaging in:

Sales Strategy & Market Growth: Developing, implementing and monitoring the strategic plan for our key markets, informed by industry trends and driving growth in market share.

Customer Relationship Management: Fostering enduring relationships with key customers, developing new partnerships with prospective clients, and personally supporting high‑value clients.

Performance and Market Analysis: Monitoring, analyzing and reporting on both sales performance and market insights, utilizing available data to review and evolve strategic plans.

Team Leadership: Providing people‑leadership to our dedicated Sales Consultant, cultivating a positive work environment through regular communication and the provision of technical product guidance, sales coaching, and day‑to‑day support.

Cross‑Functional

Collaboration:

Regularly collaborating with D&E Outdoors departments to ensure customer service excellence, advancement of marketing and promotional opportunities, and efficient and seamless integration of sales and aftermarket services.

About You

Ideally you’ll bring:

Proven experience in, and knowledge of, the needs and drivers of relevant industry markets.

A strong understanding of the sales and customer relationship process, with the ability to guide and coach others to achieve sales results.

Previous engagement in strategy development and implementation, including regular monitoring and adjustment driven by performance and market insights.

Experience building trusted relationships both internally and externally, as well as leading and fostering an engaged and cohesive team environment.

Demonstrated ability to analyze data and set goals, with a track record for driving results and achieving objectives.
