Electrician

Are you an experienced Maintenance Electrician looking for your next opportunity? We have a position available at our Canterbury plant near Ashburton, this permanent full-time position that will work on a rotating roster.

The purpose of this role is to assist the wider Engineering team to keep the production process running by installing and maintaining all electrical equipment on site to a standard that complies with all food safety regulations and in accordance with the New Zealand wiring regulations. We are a fast-paced environment meaning this position will be varied and busy requiring the successful Candidate to demonstrate organisational abilities and enthusiasm for a processing environment.

• A current practising certificate as a NZ Registered electrician
• Considerable understanding of the Health & Safety requirements for a processing/manufacturing environment
• Proven knowledge and experience (ideally five years or more) with electrical systems and electronics in a manufacturing or food processing industry
• Proven computer skills
• Knowledge of monitoring and auditing systems for compliance
• Ability to diagnose problems associated with electrical and process control
• Working knowledge of mechanical systems
