Gilberthorpe School is seeking a passionate and motivated teacher to join our team in a full-time, fixed-term maternity leave position teaching a Year 4 class. The position will begin in Week 10 of Term 2, 2026, and continue until the end of Term 4, 2026. If needed this date can be negotiated.

• Hold current New Zealand teacher registration
• Demonstrate up-to-date knowledge of the refreshed New Zealand Curriculum – Mathematics and Statistics and New Zealand Curriculum – English Learning Area, and the ability to implement these effectively in classroom programmes, with strengths and experience in structured literacy, being advantageous.
