Are you a passionate educator who loves the magic of those first steps into schooling?

We are a warm and welcoming kura located in the heart of the Mt Pleasant hills Christchurch, with spectacular views out to the Pacific Ocean and the Southern Alps.

At Mt Pleasant School, we provide a vibrant learning environment where we deliver the New Zealand Curriculum through the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP) framework. We pride ourselves on being a community that fosters rigorous inquiry and agency while balancing that with science of learning approaches.

We are looking for an inspirational, collaborative and highly motivated teacher to join our kura during Term 2 2026. This is a full-time, fixed-term position (1.0 FTTE) to accommodate our growing roll. You will be welcoming our newest tamariki and their whānau, helping them transition into school life.

Applicants must hold a current New Zealand work visa.
