Burnside High School is seeking an enthusiastic and committed teacher of social sciences to join our social sciences faculty. This is a full‑time, permanent position (adjust if fixed‑term), supporting high‑quality teaching and learning within our social sciences programme.
The successful applicant will be able to teach social sciences across a range of year levels, with the ability to engage and motivate students through well‑planned, inclusive, and effective classroom practice. You will contribute positively to the wider Faculty and the life of the school, working collaboratively with colleagues and supporting students to achieve their best.
We are seeking a reflective and student‑focused teacher who demonstrates strong curriculum knowledge, effective classroom management, and a commitment to culturally responsive teaching and Te Tiriti o Waitangi. The ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and whānau is essential.
