Our school vision - Excellence through Effort, Example, Enterprise, and Empathy - guides everything we do. We expect all staff to embody these values.

Situated in North Canterbury, just 30 minutes northwest of the city centre, our kura offers a welcoming, beautifully maintained environment with a distinct country feel. Our unique features include extensive open play areas, exciting adventure playgrounds, a community library, and a covered community pool. At the heart of our special school are our tamariki, and our vision to ensure every one of them thrives.

The ideal candidate will be a collaborative, proactive team player who is willing to support colleagues and work together to foster a positive learning environment. A commitment to neuro-affirming practices is essential. This means you recognise and respect the diverse ways students learn and process information, and you move beyond traditional approaches to effectively meet individual needs. Proven strengths in teaching structured literacy, with a sound knowledge of the science of reading, would be an advantage.

Join us and become a part of our special school community, where you can truly make a difference. If you are a teacher who is ready to contribute your skills and passion, we strongly encourage you to apply.
