As a qualified teacher, you ll be at the heart of our mission to shape brighter futures for children across Aotearoa. This role requires:
- NZQA approved qualification in early childhood teaching
- Full registration with the Teaching Council of Aotearoa New Zealand
- Current practicing certificate
This is an exciting opportunity for a proven and experienced kaiako with exceptional interpersonal skills, to contribute to the growth of the tamariki in our incredible community Centre.
This part-time permanent position is 30 hours per week and commences early May 2026.
At Hornby Pasifika Early Learning Centre, we offer an inclusive early learning programme that celebrates Pasifika culture and the diverse Hornby community.
The successful candidate will ideally have knowledge of Māori and/or Pasifika languages and would embrace becoming part of the multicultural environment that the Centre prides itself on.
Key responsibilities
- Implement curriculum aligned with Te Whāriki, adapting quickly to different centre environments
- Contribute to planning and evaluation of learning programs that respond to children s interests
- Create inclusive, equitable learning opportunities that celebrate diversity
- Document children s learning through profile books and e-portfolios as needed
- Maintain professional standards and stay current with ECE best practices
