Are you looking for paid work over the summer that aligns with your natural ability to care for others?

Our Student Welfare Officer role allows you to earn more than just money. You’ll gain the transferable skills that future employers are looking for, along with enjoyable and unforgettable experience over the summer.

What does it involve?

At Stafford House Study Holidays, we welcome more than 6,000 international students aged 8‑17 each summer, helping them improve their English while enjoying a fun, unforgettable experience. Students join us for up to 2 weeks at one of our fantastic summer centres, where they take part in a rich programme of English lessons, activities and excursions.

Our students stay in our carefully managed school residences, supported by our dedicated Student Welfare team. Much like House Parents, our Student Welfare Officers provide day‑to‑day pastoral care, ensuring every student feels safe, comfortable, and fully supported throughout their stay.

Locations

Bournemouth, Canterbury, Cambridge, Central London, Uxbridge, Northampton, Oakham (notable for the Michael Owen Red Stars football school), and New for 2026 – York!

Contracts

Select a contract of 4‑6 weeks, from 19th June to 10th August 2026 (22nd August in Central London and Canterbury). You must be available for a minimum of 3 weeks in July, as this is our busiest period.

Hours

48 hours per week over 6 days. As you will be providing wrap‑around care for our students, it is necessary to be residential for the duration of the contract. Good news! You don’t need to be local to our school locations to apply!
