- Work with kaimahi (colleagues) to build digital capability and learning across all Ara campuses
Join Ara's Capability team as a Digital Trainer, supporting kaimahi (staff) and educators across our City, Manawa, Woolston, and Timaru campuses. In this role, you'll uplift digital capability by working alongside colleagues to support their digital learning while also developing and deploying engaging online learning solutions.
You’ll help kaimahi use digital tools like Office 365, Zoom, Panopto, Te Kete, and Turnitin effectively to enhance their practice. From building interactive online learning content to supporting the use of emerging technologies, you’ll be a go-to person helping others thrive in a digital learning environment.

- Strong working knowledge of Office 365 tools and cloud-based platforms
- Experience designing and delivering face-to-face and online learning experiences (1:1 and group settings)
- Familiarity with eLearning tools such as Articulate Story
- Ability to design and facilitate learning experiences for diverse learner groups
- Skill in identifying digital capability gaps and developing learning solutions
- Strong customer service (people) skillsand commitment to high-quality, learner-focused support
- Self-managing and confident working independently
- Displays initiative and sound judgment in identifying digital capability needs
- Passionate about technology in education
- Adaptable to different learning styles and skill levels
