Assistant Principal – Achievement

Full time,permanent position commencing at the beginning of Term 2, 2026 (or by negotiation).

Shirley Boys' High School is a single sex school serving the eastern suburbs of Christchurch. Our purpose is to prepare rangatahi to succeedin their world.

We are seeking a highly motivated, dynamic, engaging individual with expertise inimproving achievement through effective curriculum design, high quality pedagogy, and flexible and deliberate professional learning. They will alsotake a lead role in the professional growth of teachers, school promotion and relationships, the co-curricular life of the school, and Māori and Pasifikaliaison.

The successful applicant will have a background in middle or senior leadership,strong relationship skills, enjoy being part of a team, and will be required tomake a commitment to the wider life of our school and community.

A job description has been developed but there is potential to modify it based on the successful applicant's expertise and capability.
