Hill McGlynn Recruitment are proud to be partnering with a respected and growing fit-out and refurbishment contractor to recruit an experienced Quantity Surveyor, based at their Canterbury office.

This is an excellent opportunity for a driven and commercially minded professional to join a dynamic business delivering high-quality interior fit-out and refurbishment projects across commercial, retail, and hospitality sectors.

As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a key role in managing the commercial and financial aspects of multiple fit-out projects from inception to completion. You'll ensure projects are delivered on budget and in line with company standards and client expectations.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing all commercial elements of projects, including procurement, cost planning, valuations, and final accounts
• Preparing bills of quantities, cost estimates, and tenders
• Negotiating with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers
• Monitoring project costs and budgets, producing regular cost reports
• Ensuring compliance with contractual and legal obligations
• Supporting the project delivery team to achieve project targets and maintain profitability

About You

• Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the fit-out, refurbishment, or interiors sector
• Strong commercial awareness and negotiation skills
• Excellent communication and organisational abilities
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
• Degree qualified or equivalent in Quantity Surveying or a related field
• Proficient in relevant IT and costing systems
