Young Academics Early Learning Centre is a leading and reputable provider with more than 50 centres across New South Wales. We are currently seeking a passionate and experienced Assistant Centre Manager/ Ed Leader to join our Canterbury leadership team
As an Assistant Centre Manager and Ed Leader
, you will assist with daily operations and leadership of the centre, working closely with the Centre Manager to deliver outstanding outcomes. You’ll help lead the team, ensure compliance, support high-quality programs, and build strong relationships with families and the wider community.
A great opportunity to mentor others, influence centre-wide success, and step into Centre Manager duties when required.
This position is a full-time role - Monday to Friday between 6:30 am - 6 pm.
Responsibilities- Provide operational and leadership support to the Centre Manager and broader team.
- Contribute to daily compliance, audits, and centre checklists to maintain safety and quality.
- Assist in the mentoring and development of educators through coaching, supervision and ongoing feedback.
- Build strong relationships with families, managing communication and feedback promptly and professionally.
- Monitor learning environments, classroom displays and resources to ensure alignment with Young Academics' standards.
- Build strong partnerships with the local community.
- Assist with managing budgets, occupancy, rostering, and administrative tasks efficiently to optimise the centre's performance.
- Demonstrate a strong attention to detail in keeping accurate records & evaluating programs.
- Guide processes and systems within the centre, adhering to the ECA Code of Ethics, specifically experience with OWNA or willingness to learn.
- Advocate for Early Childhood and Young Academics Early Learning Centre
- Minimum of 2 years' experience leading and managing an Early Learning Centre
- Bachelor’s in Early Childhood Education and Care
- Current First Aid & CPR Certificate
- Valid Employee Working with Children Check
- Child Protection Certificate (NSW Department of Education approved)
- Commitment to upholding a Child Safe Organisation and inclusive practices
