We are seeking a confident and driven Internal Sales Executive to act as the first point of contact for customers. You will represent the business with professionalism at all times, providing exceptional customer service while identifying and maximising commercial opportunities.
This role requires excellent communication skills, strong negotiation ability, and a proactive approach to developing customer relationships and driving sales performance.
Key Responsibilities
Handle incoming enquiries via telephone, email, and web, ensuring quotations are prepared accurately and promptly.
Proactively follow up on all quotations until the enquiry is won or confirmed as lost.
Verify all order details-pricing, supplier information, and specifications-before handing over to the Support Team for processing.
Grow and maintain strong relationships within your allocated customer sector.
Build an understanding of competitor offerings and market pricing.
Achieve individual and team sales targets set by the Management Team within agreed time frames.
Meet and exceed defined performance objectives.
Provide forecasts and sales reports to Management as required.
Ensure all orders are accurate before submission and escalate customer complaints immediately with full supporting information.
Continually develop your own area of business through proactive customer engagement.
Follow all company processes, policies, and procedures to ensure consistency and compliance.
Skills & Experience Required
Proven background in sales and/or customer service with an excellent telephone manner.
Strong relationship‑building skills and the confidence to engage customers at all levels.
A proactive approach with the ability to "go the extra mile" to exceed expectations.
Excellent organisational skills and strong time management.
Ability to work to deadlines in a busy, fast‑paced environment.
Comfortable following structured processes and working within set procedures.
Strong negotiation skills with the ability to influence positive outcomes.
