Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Accounts Manager to manage day-to-day finance and payroll for a growing business. This is a standalone role responsible for accounts payable and receivable, payroll processing, bank reconciliations, month-end reporting, VAT returns, and liaison with external accountants.
Key Duties- Manage purchase and sales ledger
- Process payroll and pensions
- Complete bank reconciliations and monitor cashflow
- Prepare month-end accounts and reports
- Submit VAT returns and ensure compliance
- Handle finance and payroll queries
- Maintain accurate financial records and systems
- Previous experience in an accounts or finance manager role
- Payroll processing experience
- Strong Excel and organisational skills
- Ability to work accurately and meet deadlines
- AAT or equivalent qualification
- Experience using accounting software (e.g. Sage, Xero, Quick Books)
- Trustworthy and confidential
- Proactive and reliable
