Aluminum Extrusion Press Maintenance Technician; Field

Overview

A field‑based role maintaining and repairing aluminum extrusion presses and supporting equipment. Between trips, you’ll work in our shop assembling, building, and repairing machinery.

No experience is required. If you’re mechanically inclined and comfortable with tools, we’ll train you.

• Partner with lead technicians to service, troubleshoot, and rebuild extrusion presses.
• Handle mechanical disassembly and reassembly with attention to detail.
• Support shop projects when not in the field.

• Millwright or industrial maintenance experience.
• Stick and MIG welding.
• Experience in aluminum extrusion environments.

On‑the‑job training can include welding, hydraulics, PLCs, controls, electrical work, and engineering basics—choose your path as you grow.

• Shop:
  Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM.
• Field:
  Varies by customer; weekend work is common due to production schedules. We plan flexibility so you can take time to recharge.

• Typical trips are 4–5 days. Per diem and travel costs are covered.
• Most travel is in company vehicles.
• Large projects can run several weeks; we rotate team members to minimize time away.

• Starting at $18 / hour; total pay based on experience.

• Mechanical troubleshooting; electrical/electronic systems; pipe fitting.
• Hydraulics; electrical troubleshooting and repair.
• 120/208/240/480 V and high‑voltage systems.
• MIG and stick welders; VFDs; extrusion machinery; PLCs.
