Position: Telemetry Nurse (RN) in Canfield, OH
A rewarding opportunity is available for a Registered Nurse with telemetry experience on an Intermediate Tele Unit located in Canfield, OH. This contract position involves providing advanced nursing care to patients with primarily cardiac conditions such as atrial fibrillation, congestive heart failure, pre/post catheterization, and open-heart surgery recovery. Additional patient types include respiratory, renal, stroke/TIA, post-operative cases, and ICU stepdown transfers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
• Administer medications safely, including heparin, cardizem, amiodarone, nitro, insulin, and heart failure drips.
• Interpret telemetry strips utilizing waveform monitors, tele banks, and central monitoring systems.
• Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams, patients, and families for coordinated care.
• Manage complex devices and procedures such as central lines, chest tubes, multiple drains, wound vacs, and advanced respiratory modalities.
• Advocate for patient safety while actively participating in quality improvement initiatives.
• Serve as a clinical resource and orient nursing personnel as needed.

Qualifications & Desired

Experience:

• Current RN license with state coverage or compact eligibility.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required; CCRN, PCCN, and NIH Stroke Certification preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience; 6 months in acute care setting preferred.
• Experience with telemetry monitoring, administration of drips, and management of multi-system failure patients.
• EPIC Electronic Health Record (EHR) training preferred.
• Critical thinking, clinical judgment, and strong interpersonal communication skills.
