Milwaukee Electronics is seeking an experienced Test Technician to perform hands‑on testing and troubleshooting of printed circuit board assemblies (PCBAs) and electronic systems. This role supports production and NPI programs through diagnostics, documentation, and collaboration with engineering and quality teams.

Work just 3 nights a week, and enjoy a 4‑day weekend every week!

This position follows a Monday through Wednesday, 5:00 PM – 5:00 AM swing shift schedule.

You’ll work full‑time hours in just 3 days, giving you 4 consecutive days off each week to recharge, focus on personal priorities, or simply enjoy more balance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead test strategy development for NPI programs in an electronics manufacturing environment
  • Perform PCBA testing, troubleshooting, and diagnostics on complex electronic assemblies
  • Interpret schematics, engineering drawings, BOMs, and test documentation
  • Conduct advanced failure analysis, including hardware and firmware integration issues
  • Apply statistical process control (SPC) and data analysis to validate test results
  • Operate and support Flying Probe testing (preferred), functional test, and automated test systems
  • Manage test equipment calibration and compliance with industry standards
  • Mentor and train junior test technicians on troubleshooting and diagnostic techniques
  • Collaborate cross‑functionally with Engineering, Quality, and Manufacturing teams
  • Interface directly with customers to resolve test‑related technical issues
  • Evaluate and implement new test equipment, test methods, and automation tools
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve test coverage, yield, and efficiency
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
Required Qualifications
  • Associate Degree (A.A.) or technical degree and related experience, or equivalent combination
  • 5+ years of experience in PCBA testing, electronics troubleshooting, and diagnostics
  • Experience supporting NPI test development in a manufacturing environment
  • Strong understanding of electronic systems, PCBA design, and electronics manufacturing processes
  • Familiarity with digital circuitry, microprocessors, and microcontrollers
  • Ability to work independently and solve complex technical problems
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documentation
  • Basic math skills and ability to interpret performance graphs
  • Basic computer and data entry skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or related field
  • Flying Probe test experience (setup, operation, analysis, or support)
  • Experience with automated test equipment (ATE) or functional test systems
  • Experience mentoring or training technicians
Certifications
  • IPC-A‑610 (Class 2 or Class
    3)
  • J-STD‑001
  • Ability to pass:
  • IPC Workmanship Standards
