Job Description
CEDA is currently seeking a 1 Class DZ Driver/Operator for Pressure & Vacuum at our Nanticoke, Ontario location. No accommodation or travel will be provided.

Duties & Responsibilities:
Operate and maintain vacuum trucks, high pressure/water trucks, combo units, other equipment as required and various specialty toolsDepending on our client’s request there could also be opportunities to operate other equipment outside of our industrial cleaning equipment.90% of your day is outside of the truck, boots on the groundProficient in driving manual transmissionsWork safely at heights up to 100 meters in a labor intensive capacityClimb safely into small vessels and tanks with industrial cleaning equipment – our experienced crew has your backEnsure safety for all team members and propertyWork as part of a team and follow direction from supervisionWork outdoors in a variety of weather conditionsLearn new skills every day by rigging in and out specialty equipmentComplete required paperwork for unit pre-trip, inspections, job reports and safety documentsChallenge your eye for detail, practice what we preach. Take your time, get the job done right the first time and safely every timeProvide guidance to Laborers as requiredStrictly observe and enforce all company and client safety requirementsOther duties as assignedQualifications:
Valid Class DZ license with no more than 5 demerits in the last 3 years is requiredDriving is in your nature, then passing CEDA’s Driver Assessment in a manual transmission will be a breeze (10, 13 speed, 18)Experience with Fluid Hauling, Vacuum and High Pressure experience in an industrial environment is an assetExperience in an industrial environment is an assetExposure/familiarity with Imperial Oil’s loss prevention system is an assetAble to provide a negative result on a pre-employment drug and alcohol testAble to travel throughout Region, and be available for on call (flexibility in scheduling is required)Reliable transportation to site is requiredSkills:
Strong mechanical aptitudeVery comfortable with manual transmissionsSafety focused when it comes to people and equipmentPerform physically demanding work including climbing multiple flights of stairs and carrying equipment (able to lift up to 50 pounds on a regular basis)Comfortable with the use of additional respiratory equipment and air supply; wearing a full face mask and carrying your own source of oxygenEnjoy working outdoors the majority of the time in varied weather conditionsAdditional Information
