Duties and Responsibilities

Perform structural and non-structural repairs on trucks, vans, trailers, and construction-related vehicles.

Repair dents, panels, frames, fenders, and body components using industry-standard tools and equipment.

Conduct fibreglass, aluminum, and metalwork repairs as required.

Remove, replace, and adjust body components including doors, hoods, grills, bumpers, and trim.

Inspect vehicles for structural integrity, corrosion issues, and safety concerns.

Document repair work in accordance with company and regulatory standards.

Operate welding equipment, , hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments safely.

Follow all health and safety protocols, including PPE requirements and WHMIS guidelines.

Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient work area.

Work closely with the fleet maintenance team to schedule repairs and prioritize urgent jobs.

Communicate repair timelines, issues, and recommendations to supervisors.

Support broader fleet projects and maintenance initiatives as required.

Requirements:

Valid Ontario 310B Auto Body and Collision Damage Repairer License (mandatory).

Minimum 2–5 years of experience in auto body repair (construction or heavy equipment fleet experience is an asset).

Strong knowledge of OEM repair standards, metal forming, refinishing, and structural repair methods.

Experience with MIG welding, spot welding, and plastic repair techniques.

Ability to read technical diagrams, damage reports, and repair manuals.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship.

Valid Ontario G-Class driver’s licence (DZ is an asset).

Must supply own tools.

Experience mentoring apprentices or junior technicians is considered an asset.

Ability to perform physically demanding work including standing, bending, and working in confined or elevated spaces.

Wage Range:

The hourly range for this position in Ontario at the start of employment is expected to be between $30.00 and $38.00 per year. However, the range offered is based on local job market factors and may vary further depending on factors specific to the selected job candidate, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations.
