Description:

ATCO Frontec is seeking a Red Seal Journeyman Electrician to join our team in Resolute Bay, NU. The Red Seal Journeyman Electrician is responsible for performing preventative and corrective maintenance, inspections, modifications, and installation/dismantling of electrical systems.

Working on a rotation of weeks on/ weeks off, days a week, with all travel paid.

Responsibilities:

Complete timely inspections, testing and accurate reporting of equipment defects / deficiencies

Conduct timely maintenance services and quality repair of equipment

Provide input to the Maintenance Coordinator for the planned and scheduled work and assist with the completion of the committed schedule

Assist with the scoping, estimating, planning and execution of new work or projects

Ensure all installations, repairs and maintenance meets the requirements of the appropriate codes

Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Red Seal Journeyman Certified Electrician with a minimum of years’ experience.

Current certificates in Fall Arrest, Confined Space, and Elevated Work Platform.

Class license and clean drivers abstract is required.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Able to read drawings and schematics.

Ability to build and work in a team environment is crucial along with a strong commitment to personal and team safety.

Must be prepared to work in extreme weather conditions.

Experience working in a remote environment is considered an asset.

Strong commitment to follow workplace safety requirements and procedures.
