Location: Boyle

Purpose :
Assist in Repairing, Overhauling, Maintenance and assisting with Servicing of Heavy Equipment.

Key Responsibilities :

With assistance from a Journeyman Heavy duty mechanic they must learn how to interpret work orders and technical manuals.

Keep equipment cleaned, lubricated and maintained and with guidance assist
Journeyman Heavy Duty Mechanic with diagnosing faults or malfunctions.

Adjust equipment and repair or replace defective parts, components or systems.

Test repaired equipment for proper performance and ensure that the work done meets
manufacturers' specifications and legislated regulations.

Write service reports with a Journeyman’s Assistance.

Skills/Abilities :

Strength and stamina required to work with heavy equipment and work in
cramped or awkward positions.

Good vision, hearing and sense of smell for diagnosing problems.

Mechanical ability and an interest in machinery and engines.

The ability to think logically and keep up with changes in technology.

Ability to work alone or as a team.

Experience :
Minimum one year experience required.

Other :
Valid driver's licence, willing to travel, remote locations.
