Join Our Team as an Operations Technician – Millwright at Johnson Electric!
Location: Ancaster, Ontario (onsite)
Schedule: Continental 12-hour shift rotation (days and nights), overtime as required
As our next Operations Technician – Millwright
, you’ll be responsible for performing repairs and troubleshooting mechanical and related equipment to ensure smooth operations. Your technical expertise and problem-solving skills will help maintain production efficiency and equipment reliability.

What You’ll Be Doing:
Perform repairs on pumps, valves, actuators, motors, gears, hydraulics, and related equipment
Troubleshoot mechanical systems and recommend repair or replacement actions
Interpret O&M manuals, schematics, and design drawings
Coordinate with external contractors and inspect completed work
Respond to emergency equipment failures and diagnose issues
Support special projects, start-up, and commissioning of equipment
Maintain accurate records in a computerized maintenance management system
Perform welding, pipe fitting, and rigging as required
Ensure compliance with safety standards, IATF 16949, and ISO 14001
Other duties as assigned
What We’re Looking For:
Secondary School Graduation Diploma with a valid Certificate of Apprenticeship
Certificate of Qualification as an Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) in good standing
3–5 years of practical experience preferred
Technical & Skill Requirements:
Knowledge of Microsoft Office and EAM CMMS systems
Strong understanding of safety practices under the Occupational Health & Safety Act
Ability to interpret schematics, design drawings, and O&M manuals
Good communication and collaboration skills
Work Environment:
Exposure to noise, heights, confined spaces, and manufacturing conditions
Physical demands include climbing, crouching, lifting, and operating material handling equipment
Must use specialized protective equipment
Willingness to work overtime and rotating shifts
