    Position Summary:

    The Overnight Supervisor is responsible for providing operational leadership, oversight, and support, including direct supervision of mobile guards and operators within the Security Operations Center (SOC).

    This role ensures consistent service delivery, adherence to post orders, incident response readiness, and effective communication between drivers, dispatchers, and management.

    Acting as the primary on-shift operational leader, the Overnight Supervisor conducts mobile patrol oversight, site compliance checks, performance monitoring, welfare checks, and coordinated incident response.

    Job Responsibilities:

    Conduct mobile patrols, site checks, and welfare checks in alignment with existing Mobile Supervisor standards.

    Ensure guards are properly uniformed, equipped, and adhering to post orders.

    Address on-site concerns, performance issues, or safety risks during rounds.

    Support client sites by responding to alarms, conducting lockups/unlocks, and attending urgent requests.

    Identify gaps or operational risks and provide recommendations for improvement.

    Collaborate closely with SOC dispatchers to ensure accurate call handling, incident logging, and timely escalation.

    Assist SOC with staffing issues, call spikes, mobile conflicts, or unusual activity.

    Monitor call volumes, incident patterns, and dispatch performance to identify training needs or operational concerns.

    Act as the operational escalation point for SOC during overnight hours.

    Ensure proper notifications, documentation, and follow-up actions are completed.

    Support guards during emergencies by providing direction, guidance, or relief as needed.

    Assist with onboarding new overnight team members, ensuring familiarity with post orders and expectations.

    Promote Commissionaires’ standards for conduct, customer service, and safety.

    Maintain accurate records of patrol activities, incident responses, and site visits.

    Escalate any critical concerns to Ops, HR, or Client Services as required.

    Qualifications:

    Previous experience as a Mobile Supervisor, Senior Guard, or similar leadership role preferred.

    Strong working knowledge of dispatch/SOC processes and emergency response coordination.

    Ability to work independently, make sound decisions, and remain calm during high-pressure events.

    Excellent communication, conflict resolution, and customer service skills.

    Valid BC Security Worker Licence or willing to obtain.

    Class 5 driver’s licence required; clean driver’s abstract preferred.
