About Mindfull Mindfull Community is a social service agency dedicated to supporting caregivers and families through mental health-informed programmes, community initiatives and advocacy. Our work centres on empathy, dignity and long‑term wellbeing — for both caregivers and those they care for.
As Mindfull grows in scale and influence, strong, thoughtful communications is essential in shaping how our work is understood, valued and supported by our community, partners and the wider public.
The Role We are seeking a driven and independent Manager / Senior Manager, Corporate Communications to partner the Head in leading Mindfull’s communications function. This role combines strategic storytelling, media amplification and hands‑on communications delivery.
As the right hand, you will help guide junior team members, manage stakeholders, and play a key role in shaping and amplifying Mindfull’s narrative — ensuring our impact, values and beneficiaries’ stories are communicated with clarity, sensitivity and purpose.
This role is ideal for an experienced in‑house / agency communications professional or former journalist who is equally comfortable thinking strategically, crafting narratives and engaging media.
Key Responsibilities 1. Strategic Storytelling & Narrative Building Drive Mindfull’s storytelling strategy, translating programmes, impact and lived experiences into compelling narratives
Amplify the impact of our work through website content, social media, media interviews, award submissions and public engagements
Ensure stories are told with empathy, dignity and alignment to Mindfull’s mission and brand voice
Identify strong story angles and opportunities to spotlight caregivers, families, partners and programmes
2. Media & External Communications Support and drive media relations efforts, including pitching, interview preparation and media engagements
Work closely with leadership and programme teams to surface timely and relevant stories
Act as a key advisor on messaging, positioning and media readiness
Ensure consistency and quality across all external communications
3. Signature Events (Communications Lead) Contribute to Mindfull’s signature events from a communications perspective
Lead communications planning for events, including messaging, content, media outreach and internal alignment
Support event teams in amplifying event objectives, stories and outcomes before, during and after events
4. Stakeholder & Brand Management Manage internal stakeholders across programmes, fundraising, leadership and partners to deliver effective communications support
Act as a brand steward, ensuring consistency, clarity and sensitivity across channels
Ensure Mindfull’s work and values are well understood internally and externally
5. Team Leadership & Cadence Drive team planning, cadence and prioritisation across campaigns and ongoing communications work
Guide, mentor and support junior team members, helping them grow in skills, confidence and ownership
6. Governance, Processes & Strategic Support Drive internal approval processes to ensure communications are timely, accurate and aligned
Support the Head in communications strategy development and corporate planning
Contribute to longer‑term planning, evaluation and continuous improvement of communications efforts
Requirements Experience & Capabilities 6–10 years of experience in communications, PR, journalism or related fields
Strong background in content, storytelling and media communications
Comfortable operating both strategically and hands‑on
Attributes We’re Looking For Highly motivated, proactive and able to work independently
Strong sense of ownership and accountability
Thoughtful communicator with high emotional intelligence
Deep empathy for caregivers and beneficiaries, and a genuine belief in Mindfull’s mission
Calm under pressure, organised, and trusted by peers and stakeholders
Why Join Mindfull Be part of a mission‑driven organisation creating real impact for caregivers and families
Work closely with senior leadership and shape Mindfull’s public voice and narrative
Take on a meaningful leadership role with room to influence strategy and culture
Join a committed team where communications is valued as a strategic function
