Hydromec Inc., a growing company, is looking for a Conventional Machinist for its Dolbeau‑Mistassini workshop. Join a dynamic and dedicated team where excellence, professional development, and high‑quality standards are core priorities.
Reporting to the Workshop Manager – Welding, Machining, and Cylinders, the successful candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating various conventional machine tools to manufacture high‑precision parts that meet strict quality standards, while adhering to production deadlines and occupational health and safety regulations.
RESPONSIBILITIESMachining operations: Set up and operate conventional machine tools to manufacture parts according to technical specifications and established quality standards
Blueprint reading and interpretation: Read and interpret technical drawings to produce parts that meet design requirements.
Quality control: Verify the conformity of machined parts using precision measuring instruments to ensure quality.
Deadline management: Organize and plan work to meet deadlines and optimize production time.
Equipment maintenance: Perform basic maintenance on conventional machine tools and report any need for repair or servicing.
Safety compliance: Work in strict accordance with health and safety regulations to maintain a safe work environment.
SKILLS- Proficiency in conventional machining techniques.
- Strong attention to detail and high level of precision.
- Excellent spatial awareness to interpret and manipulate designs.
- Strong time management and ability to meet deadlines.
- Well‑developed organizational and planning skills.
- Ability to troubleshoot technical issues quickly and effectively.
Start Date: As soon as possible.
Schedule: Full‑time, Monday to Friday.

REQUIREMENTSEducation: Diploma of Vocational Studies (DEP) in Machining Techniques or equivalent training
Experience: 3 to 5 years.
