Looking for a rewarding, hands-on role where your work makes a real impact? As a Sawyer/Labourer, you'll play an important part in preparing materials and supporting production by cutting lumber accurately and assisting with a variety of shop and yard tasks. From precision cutting to material handling and equipment care, you'll help ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to a high standard.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys physical work, takes pride in quality craftsmanship, and works well in a team environment. Experience in woodworking or carpentry is an asset, but a strong work ethic and commitment to safety are what matter most.
Key Responsibilities
- Precision Cutting:
As a Sawyer, you will accurately measure and cut lumber and other materials in line with our project specifications. - Material Handing:
Apart from sawing, your role as a Labourer will involve hands-on tasks like material handling, site preparation, and equipment maintenance. - Quality Assurance:
You'll ensure that every cut and every task you undertake meets our stringent standards for quality and precision. - Collaborative Teamwork:
Work in unison with a team of dedicated professionals to meet project deadlines and uphold excellence. - Safe Operations:
Operate a variety of saws and other equipment safely, and contribute to maintaining a secure work environment.
Skills and Qualifications
- Experienced Hands:
Previous experience in woodworking, carpentry, or similar roles is preferred. - Detail-Oriented Approach: A keen eye for detail to deliver accurate and high-quality work.
- Team Spirit:
Ability to work effectively with a diverse range of team members. - Safety First Attitude: A strong commitment to safety and best practices in the workplace.
