Work Arrangement: This is an on‑site position located at the BHP Potash Mine, located 140 kilometers east of Saskatoon in Saskatchewan. The schedule is 10 days on, 4 days off, which may change based on business needs. We welcome candidates from across the Prairie provinces. Camp accommodations are available, and depending on the candidate’s location, travel may be fly‑in/fly‑out with camp stay or commuting if within a reasonable distance.

What You Will Do
As a Field Project Manager for our Fire division, you will lead complex fire alarm, security, sprinkler, and communications installation projects in commercial, educational, healthcare, industrial, and military facilities. Responsibilities include setting up local project offices, defining project scope, identifying risks, establishing methodology, allocating resources, and facilitating communication. You will manage schedule, cost, safety, quality, and customer expectations/satisfaction, present updates to management and/or customers, and ensure projects are closed on time and within scope.
How You Will Do It
Oversee and communicate project progression from inception to completion, including design, permits, material delivery, labor schedules, and field installation.
Develop a comprehensive project plan to meet schedules and budgets, and conduct Work in Progress meetings.
Understand and follow all published codes, standards, and unique project specifications.
Work hand‑in‑hand with design teams and operations manager to ensure project deliverables are met.
Ensure AHJ requirements and departmental/SOX procedures are followed.
Coordinate change orders and work toward overall margin improvement on every job.
Assist with and/or make material/equipment deliveries to job sites and customers.
Collect and compile daily T&M detail sheets for sign‑off, to be included in monthly progress claims.
Create and publish to customer any deficiencies found in the installation for fire alarm system that will impact system operation.
Support technicians on site to document all technical issues, develop action plans to rectify them, and ensure the schedule is not impacted.
What We Look For
High school diploma or equivalent.
Certificate or diploma in a related field (Fire & Life Safety, Electrical/Electronic, Security). Certification in Fire Alarm Systems preferred.
5 years’ installation experience in Fire, Electrical, or Security systems.
Expectation that Project Management Professional certification will be obtained within two years of employment in the position.
Proficient in MS Office applications (Excel, Project). Ability to create Excel spreadsheets, reference data in other spreadsheets, and create macros is required.
HIRING HOURLY RANGE : $36-62 (Hourly rate determined by education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and market data). This position includes a competitive benefits package. The posted salary range reflects the target compensation for this role, but exceptional candidates may be considered beyond the stated range.
