Your role
As Team Leader - Receiving and Shipping, you will play a central role within the distribution center.
Acting as the link between the supervisor and your team members, you will be responsible for coordinating logistics activities and ensuring that daily operations run smoothly.
This position combines hands-on work and team leadership: initially, your time will be divided between management and operational tasks, before evolving into a more strategic supervisory role.
Your main responsibilities
Logistics coordination
Oversee the receipt and shipment of goods.
Ensure compliance, quality, and timeliness of shipments.
Collaborate with carriers and various internal departments.
Participate in inventory planning and tracking.
Team management (5 people)
Supervise, train, and motivate your team members.
Plan schedules and assign tasks efficiently.
Foster a positive work environment focused on collaboration and performance.
Clearly communicate objectives and monitor results.
Operational monitoring
Maintain quality, productivity, and safety on the floor.
Ensure compliance with internal procedures and policies.
Provide support to other departments as needed.
Be a model of rigor, ethics, and professionalism.
Health, safety, and compliance
Promote and enforce occupational health and safety policies.
Ensure the implementation of safe and effective practices.
Your profile
• High school diploma;
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar position;
• Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize;
• Experience in logistics and customs clearance, including working with ICS, Purolator, Canada Post, and UPS;
• Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and transportation management systems (TMS);
• Good technical knowledge and ability to operate a forklift (certification an asset);
• Strong analytical, reasoning, and critical thinking skills;
• Professional attitude as an ambassador for the Vision Newlook Group;
• Highly motivated, disciplined, dynamic, and punctual;
• Team player and comfortable with cross-functional collaboration;
• Leadership, autonomy, initiative, and excellent communication skills;
• Sense of responsibility, ability to manage priorities and adapt quickly;
• Availability and flexibility according to operational needs;
• Good command of spoken and written French; intermediate level of English required.
