Overview
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate GYN Sonographer to join our healthcare team. This vital role involves performing diagnostic ultrasound procedures focused on gynecological imaging. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise, excellent patient care skills, and a thorough understanding of obstetrics and gynecology imaging protocols. The GYN Sonographer will play a crucial role in assisting physicians with accurate diagnosis and patient management through high-quality imaging.
Responsibilities- Perform gynecological and obstetric ultrasound examinations with precision and attention to detail.
- Ensure adherence to aseptic techniques and infection control protocols during procedures.
- Accurately document imaging findings and prepare detailed reports for review by physicians.
- Communicate effectively with patients to explain procedures, address concerns, and ensure comfort throughout the exam.
- Maintain equipment calibration, cleanliness, and proper functioning to ensure optimal image quality.
- Collaborate with medical staff to support diagnostic processes in obstetrics/gynecology cases.
- Proven experience in obstetrics/gynecology (Ob/Gyn), or diagnostic radiology preferred.
- Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, and medical terminology relevant to gynecological health.
- Proficiency in medical imaging techniques, including sonography and diagnostic radiology principles.
- Demonstrated expertise in ultrasound equipment operation and maintenance.
- Excellent communication skills for patient interaction and interdisciplinary collaboration.
- Ability to apply aseptic techniques diligently to maintain a sterile environment during procedures.
- Knowledge of patient care best practices, including sensitivity to patient needs during examinations.
- Certification or licensure as a Sonographer is required; additional specialization in GYN or Maternal-Fetal Medicine is a plus.
