My OB/GYN Specialists is currently seeking a TEMP Sonographer from April to the end of July. Our office strives to provide trustworthy, superior healthcare for all female‑specific medical needs. We are a fast‑paced office that focuses on detail and attention to each patient. We are searching for a talented Sonographer who is professional, passionate and great with customer service and quality care and who is team‑oriented.
ScheduleMonday-Thursday 8:00 AM – 5:30 PM
Friday 7:30 AM – 2:00 PM
$30–$35 per hour, depending on experience.
Certifications / Requirements- RDMS‑OBGYN Registered (1 year of experience preferred)
- NT Certified (Preferred or must obtain after 6 months of employment)
- Bilingual and excellent interpersonal and communication skills (English and Spanish – Proficient)
This job is responsible for performing obstetrical and gynecologic ultrasound examinations at a technical level in accordance with department protocols and applicable regulatory requirements.
Job DutiesExecutes all varieties of obstetrical and gynecological diagnostic ultrasound exams & procedures. Must be able to perform all examinations in accordance with American Institute of Ultrasound in Medicine (AIUM) standards and department protocols; and be able to determine correct techniques to obtain images of the highest quality and resolution; and participate (along with a supervising Obstetrician/Gynecologist) in the final exam diagnosis.
Must be able to perform sonohysterograms & hysterosalpingograms; if no experience in these procedures, must be able to learn & be trained. Sonographer also serves as a liaison between patients, interpreting physicians (Obstetrician/Gynecologist) and referring providers; explains testing procedures to patient; ensures that emergent exam results are relayed promptly to the appropriate physician.
- Ability to independently stay on task and handle a full schedule of patients (up to 12)
- Communicate clearly and frequently with our team and patients to ensure the highest level of care
- Verify patient information, including problems and orders to ensure sonographic accuracy
- Prepare, sanitize, and maintain equipment and supplies; select appropriate imaging parameters; implement safety standards and perform appropriate quality control procedures on equipment
- Troubleshoot, resolve, and/or report equipment malfunctions, as necessary
- Position patient appropriately for imaging and perform sonogram
- Analyze results, identify, and discuss findings with physician; enter and transfer images from the sonogram machine to the EMR
- Transcribe and generate imaging reports
- Enter appropriate billing charges based on service performed and patient insurance
- Transfer images to USB for patient, if applicable
- Obtain vitals for patients when needed

Pay$30.00 – $35.00 per hour
