Your Job
Organizing and developing presentation materials supporting our clients’ capital decision-making
Assisting in the structuring, execution and documentation of fixed income issuances
Conducting credit analysis and financial modelling for prospective issuers
Performing various tasks supporting senior team members in their deal execution and client coverage efforts
Staying abreast of market trends, industry developments, company news, and regulatory changes to inform decision-making
Fostering a collaborative team environment by actively participating in teamwork, sharing insights, and contributing to a positive workplace culture

Although an emphasis is placed on analytical capabilities, credit fundamentals and presentation skills, candidates must also show the ability to interact effectively with clients and colleagues. This is critical to us.

Your Team
Based in Montreal, you will be part of the Debt Capital Markets (DCM) team, a global group of 37 professionals and report to the Co-Head of Debt Capital Markets & Syndication. Over the years, the team has achieved significant success, strengthening client relationships and increasing market share. We have built a strong franchise supported by a deep bench of expertise and have executed both investment grade and high yield transactions in the Canadian and U.S. markets.

The DCM team operates in a highly collaborative environment, with a strong emphasis on learning and professional development.
We will provide comprehensive on-the-job training for the selected candidate, with close support from colleagues as you learn the key aspects of the role. In addition, you will benefit from specialized training throughout the year to further develop your technical and presentation skills.
This position is based onsite and requires a full time presence in the office five days per week, within a dynamic, market driven environment that supports critical business activities. As such, flexibility in working hours is required to meet client and business needs.

Basic Requirements
Undergraduate or graduate degree in finance, accounting or related field to the sector of activity
Strong analytical and financial modelling skills
Knowledge of capital markets and investment banking applications
Exceptional proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word
Demonstrated problem-solving mindset, collaborative approach and great team spirit
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trusting relationships
Experience in capital markets, investment banking or corporate finance is an asset
Fluency in English and French, spoken and written, is required
