Location: Sun PeaksSun Peaks is Canada's second largest ski area and has been intentionally developed in accordance with our Master Plan (on our website, Province of BC). The Master Plan philosophy is to strategically evolve our recreational footprint through increased accommodation and enhancements to skier/guest services and infrastructure.
Sun Peaks Resort LLP is a wholly owned Canadian subsidiary of Nippon Cable Co. of Japan. As a private entity, our ownership group is committed to the long-term growth and success of Sun Peaks Resort.
Due to the ongoing expansion of our resort operations and real estate development activities, we are searching for the right candidate to support our Director of Finance in meeting the reporting demands of our ownership group and the requirements for financial analysis including real estate project proformas, revenue management, pricing strategies and capital investment decisions.
This position will report directly to the Director of Finance but will also work closely with leaders of the resort and hotel operations. This position requires a person who thrives on a diversity of work and challenges, with the ability to shift focus from operational activities to supporting strategic initiatives.
We are seeking a high performer with impeccable attention to detail, but also the ability to think big picture. This role will continue to evolve as our operations grow both on the mountain and in the base area, with Sun Peaks in the second phase of its four phase , developed by the world-renowned mountain planning team at .

Compensation Information: $75,000 to 85,000 per annum
Physical Requirement: Light; work activities involve handling loads up to 5kg; predominantly in an indoor setting.

Accounting designation (CPA, CA, CMA, or CGA) preferred.Minimum 5+ years’ experience in industry or public practice, with a focus on full cycle accounting and financial analysis.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze complex data to support investment decisions.Well-organized with the ability to multi-task and impeccable attention to detail.Influential skills to work collaboratively across teams and departments with a focus on building trusting relationships.Expert knowledge of Microsoft Excel and working knowledge of PowerPoint and Word.Experience in Business Intelligence (BI) tools are considered an asset.Primary Responsibilities:
Responsible for the full cycle accounting of approx. 30+ companies, including bank reconciliations, financial statement preparation and tax filings.Develop revenue management and pricing strategies for resort operations, working closely with the operational teams to connect operational metrics and financial implications.Support strategic investment decisions for resort capital improvements such as chairlifts, mountain facilities and overall resort expansion.Review and analyze consolidated operational budgets for resort and hotel operations.Support cash flow management and scenario planning.Work closely with staff at head office in Japan to support reporting requirements.Identify opportunities to improve processes across the business lines.Develop and track KPI’s for business units to help measure performance.Work…
