Join Our Team in the Guelph, ON area, as an Internal Controls Analyst!

As an Internal Controls Analyst, you'll be instrumental in protecting our company and its assets. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams, using your analytical skills to uncover risks, process deficiencies, and insights. Your goal? Continual improvement and fostering positive change across our organization.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

We count on your expertise to drive the Internal Controls function and analyze the efficiency of various processes.

Business Support & Control Frameworks

  • Business Support Framework:
    Manage and/or perform the bi-annual self-assessment process for the four regions in Business Unit North America.
  • Financial Control Assessments:
    Assist in completing Key Financial Control Framework assessments.
  • Segregation of Duties Management:
    Oversee SOD management and reporting, and implement compensating controls to address SOD conflicts.
  • Critical Access Review:
    Coordinate and ensure timely completion.
  • ERM Risk Matrix:
    Facilitate the completion process.
  • Audits & Risk Management

  • Audits:
    Conduct functional area audits, process audits, and system audits as required.
  • Audit Findings Resolution:
    Drive timely resolution of audit findings/action items and ensure monthly progress reporting.
  • Risk Management:

    Increase awareness of key risks and implement measures to mitigate them.
  • Process Improvement & Best Practices

  • Process & Control Automation:
    Develop and implement automations to streamline processes and minimize errors.
  • Process Improvements:
    Collaborate with key process owners to enhance processes.
  • Best Practices:
    Collaborate with the I.C. community, Corporate, and other Business Units to share and implement best practices.
  • PREFERRED HIRING CRITERIA

    Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting
  • 3-5 years experience in Finance/Accounting, 3-5 years in Audit
  • Experience with process/system automation is critical
  • Knowledge of IFRS preferred
  • Experience with the MS Power platform:
    Power Automate, Power BI, M3, and 1QM
  • Experience in the animal feed industry preferred

  • Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines under pressure

  • Willingness to travel 20-30% within Canada and the US

  • Fluency in French and English preferred
