Job Type: Full-Time
Salary: $88,200 - $130,500 base salary

Position Summary
The Plant Engineer is responsible for developing, optimizing, and improving manufacturing processes to enhance productivity, quality, safety, and cost efficiency. This role works closely with Engineering, Production, Maintenance, and Quality teams to ensure seamless integration of new processes, equipment, and technologies. The Plant Engineer monitors process performance, performs data-driven analysis, and leads continuous improvement initiatives to achieve operational excellence. This position ensures compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards while driving sustainable improvements in efficiency, waste reduction, and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).

Education & Experience
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, or related Engineering disciplines required
Master’s degree in Engineering or related field considered an asset
Professional Engineering (P.Eng) designation or working toward designation considered an asset
Experience
Minimum 5+ years of experience in process or plant engineering within manufacturing environment
Experience with process validation, commissioning, and continuous improvement initiatives
Project management and plant commissioning experience considered an asset
Technical Expertise
Strong knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, SPC, and process optimization methodologies
Experience with statistical analysis, process modeling, and simulation tools
Familiarity with automation and control systems (PLC, SCADA) preferred
Knowledge of ISO standards and quality management systems
Proficient in Microsoft Office and engineering‑related software tools
Knowledge
Manufacturing process design and optimization
Statistical Process Control (SPC) and process capability studies
Lean manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, and Value Stream Mapping
Automation and control systems (PLC, SCADA)
Quality management systems (ISO standards)
Process safety, risk assessment, and regulatory compliance
Root cause analysis and corrective action methodologies
Skills
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
Process modeling and data‑driven decision‑making
Project management and prioritization
Technical writing and documentation development
Effective cross‑functional collaboration
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Organizational and time‑management skills
Working Conditions
Combination of office and manufacturing plant environment
Exposure to dirt, noise, heat, and industrial conditions within production areas
PPE required when in manufacturing areas
Occasional extended hours may be required to support projects or production demands
